Our dear son Reeve is 13 years old today!

I can't find my card reader or I'd post some new pictures....rats, where did it go?

It doesn't get any better than this....

Here's what I'm experiencing right now:

- my husband is asleep beside me in our 5th wheel trailer cosy bed

- my son has a full tummy and is happily watching  "Garfield 2" on a portable DVD player in his bunk

- my portable fan is humming in the background...one of my favorite sounds...

- my daughter, freshly graduated from high school with a mid-80s average is visiting contentedly with my parents

- my step-son was here this evening for a visit and we really enjoyed his company....pork kababs on the BBQ with chicken breast and
"Hicks" potato salad

- a new book ready for me to resume reading as soon as I'm done this post "In An Instant" by Bob and Lee Woodruff...

- two (count em) two more days of vacation!

- rain dripping lightly on the roof....

Ah, now THIS is what bliss is.

Congratulations Jenna Victoria Sarah

My beautiful daughter Jenna, graduated from St. Anne's Catholic Secondary School last night AND won the OECTA Computer Technology award - with a bursury of $500.00. 

I am just so proud!  All of us were!  Gumma and Papa had to sit on the bleachers with the "other" relatives (each graduate was only allowed 2 guests in the regular chairs), while Ken and I had a closer seat.

This really makes me sad.  Really, really sad.

I know, I don't know them and they have nothing to do with me, but we're all allowed to put our two cents in, aren't we?

Monday update - Summer's finally here!

-          Reeve left for his grade 7/8 trip to Camp Celtic today – 3 nights, 4 days.  I’m not worrying, I’m not worrying, I’m not worrying, I’m not worrying…..

-          Jenna is graduating from High School on Thursday night!  Wow…just wow!  Congratulations Jenna on a great final report card and for successfully completing high school without a lick of trouble (unlike your mom)

 

-          We’re going camping in the new trailer – well Ken, Reeve and I are – leaving Friday after work and returning next Wednesday….can’t wait!

 

-          Poor Ken only has one night this week to work on the garage….trusses are getting into place!

 

-          Ken sang at church yesterday – John Lennon’s “Imagine” (with “tweaked lyrics).  It was pretty special.

 

-          Mom and Dad and the boys are out at Shelter Valley camping – wish I were with them because shade would be so nice right now (not that I don’t like the sun….)

 

-          Went to a bridal shower for Ken’s niece Jessi on Saturday (well, I guess my niece too) and it was great to see family

 

-          Happy Father’s Day to my dearest Daddy and my 8 brother-in-laws!

 

-          Totally LOVING my job…excited about going to work again!  Nothing but a blessing and a miracle.

Life is fantastic right now.....really, really fantastic.....really busy mind you ....but oh, how blessed we are!  Thank you Lord!

What am I doing this weekend?  Grocery shopping, sleeping in on Saturday, going to a bridal shower, stopping in at a birthday party, totally playing in the new trailer for hours - we sold the old one so we must move some stuff - playing the piano for a baptism and that's all folks!

 Our nephew Darrell and his fiance Chelsey.  Their wedding is coming up in September!  Aren't they gorgeous?

Two Mommy-birdies must have used the same nest!  Two different kinds of bird eggs!  Unfortunately, neither mommy returned....so they're "decoration" eggs now. This little nest is in one of the trees Ken gave me for our 1st anniversary.

Update

• We bought a new trailer!

• At work, I have been moved back down to work in Children’s Services which THRILLS ME TO PIECES!

• My daughter graduates high school in less than a week

• Ken bought us beautiful new light fixtures for the kitchen eating area and for the dining room Yay!

• Reeve is doing much better with his braces.  Just took a couple days.  He looks so grown up with them on!

• Reeve is still a bit intimidated to ride his motor bike….fine with me, I love to ride it! LOL  He'll catch on soon, I know it.

• Going camping the weekend of June 26 and can’t wait to use the new trailer!
